Installing the Read&Write app


Visit text.help/get-home-use in your browser and click on ‘Try Read&Write today’

Select the iPad icon, then click ‘Install’. This will bring you to the Apple Store.
You can also go straight to the App Store and search for ‘Read&Write for iPad’

Click ‘GET’ to download and install the app.

Getting the app set up


On your home screen, tap the purple Read&Write puzzle piece icon to open the app.

A welcome message will appear, click ‘Start setup wizard’

First, you need to enable the keyboard in your iPad settings. Click the play button to watch a short video on how to do this.

Once you’ve installed the Read&Write keyboard on your iPad, return to the Read&Write app to continue setup by clicking ‘next step’.

Getting signed in

Now you need to register

When asked if you’re an existing Read&Write user, click ‘Yes

On the next screen, simply press the ‘sign in’ button

Choose to sign in with Microsoft using the students’ email address. Your school can provide this information.

A welcome message should appear once you’ve signed in


Read&Write is ready to be used on your iPad. You can adjust the settings within the app.
